Botanical Garden Tour

A great day to visit the Gardens, slightly overcast and a good picture day.  Not only did Karen and I see wonderful plants, we saw some interesting Garden visitors too!

This is Don Dick:

Thank goodness for the rock otherwise we would never have known his name.  There were actually two Great Horned Owls.  The other Owl below did not have a name.  ;o)  But, may have been mom watching over her little boy, Don Dick.

Both flew up into another tree, so I was still able to get some nice pictures of them.

What big eyes you have.....all the better to see you with.  Now where have I heard that before?

Not certain who this cute little guy is.

This Killdeer was sipping the waters of a fountain.  Now those are some bird legs.

Have you ever seen such a beautiful dragonfly?

Or such a beautiful yellow finch?

Oh, not to forget some of the beautiful flowers....

Happy July 4th 2013

We are so happy that the temps are cooler.....still 90 degrees but able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. We are also thankful most of the fireworks are over.  We had some anxious dogs as we usually do during this holiday.  Enjoy!
